Power of Attorney

 

There may come a time when you or a loved one loses the legal capacity to make decisions on their own behalf. People beset with Alzheimers, senility, and other age-related cognitive infirmities may need to provide a power of attorney to enable a trusted person to make responsible decisions about their finances, their health, and other attendant issues.

Making a Power of Attorney is never a pleasant task, but it may be necessary to make sure that someone is taken care of in a responsible and prudent manner by someone who is competent in such affairs and who knows the needs of the person from which the power of attorney is given.
